Writing his first song at the adolescent age of 10 years old, Jason ?J-Stringzz? Spence has been creating music for more than a decade now. Picking up the acoustic early on proved that he was not only an esteemed lyricist and steadily improving vocalist, but also a solid guitarist. He is more than just your average artist. He is well rounded musically, and with the three combined, has brought a whole new genre of music to the industry.

IAA:? What is your music background?

J- STRINGZZ:? I have been writing songs since I was 10 years old.? I also have been playing the acoustic guitar for a little over 8 years. I?ve been doing music my whole life.? I know I was born to do this!

IAA:? What inspired you to do music?

J-STRINGZZ:? God is my inspiration.

IAA:? What are your songs about?

J-STRINGZZ:? My songs are about love, breaking up, life?s struggles, and survival. I write music that most people can relate to because they have shared the same experiences.

IAA:? Do you write your own music?

J-STRINGZZ:? Yes, I do write my own music. I also produce and play instruments. I play the guitar, which is my first love along with the keys, drums, and the bass

IAA:? Who are your musical influences?

J-STRINGZZ:? Tupac is first on my list, alongside John Mayer, Bob Marley, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Notorius B.I.G., Nas, and? Stevie Ray Vaughn, I try to listen to a variety of different artists.? I?m not really influenced by any of the new artists. I am strongly influenced by some of the late greats.

IAA:? How would you describe your music to people?

J-STRINGZZ:? My music is very uplifting and inspirational. It is feel good music.

IAA:? What makes you stand out from other artist?

J-STRINGZZ:? I am not afraid to be myself.? So many artists are trying to fit into the norm, not knowing, there isn?t a norm. ?We are all made to be different, so you should never try to be like anybody else. Be yourself, cause nobody can do you, like you can do yourself.? I also stand out because I play the acoustic and will spit 16 over all guitar.

IAA:? What are some upcoming projects you are currently working on?

J-STRINGZZ:? I am currently finishing up my 2^nd mixtape,? ?Musically Inclined Vol. 2? The follow up to the local smash hit, ?Musically Inclined Vol. 1? Which is currently available on Itunes) Vol. 2 is set to be released Summer 2012. After that I will be working on my acoustic project, ? No Stringzz Attached? which is set to be released Fall 2012. I have a lot in the works for this upcoming year

J-STRINGZZ:? 10 years from now, I see myself as an established songwriter in the music industry.? I want to have platinum plaques under my belt for writing for my own projects and writing for others.

Japan experts warn of future risk of giant tsunami

TOKYO (AP) ? Much of Japan's Pacific coast could be inundated by a tsunami more than 34 meters (112 feet) high if a powerful earthquake hits offshore, according to revised estimates by a government panel.

The panel of experts says any tsunami unleashed by a magnitude-9.0 earthquake in the Nankai trough, which runs east of Japan's main island of Honshu to the southern island of Kyushu, could top 34 meters at its highest.

An earlier forecast in 2003 put the potential maximum height of such a tsunami at less than 20 meters (66 feet).

Last March's magnitude-9.0 earthquake spawned a 14-meter (45-foot) wave that devastated most of Japan's northeastern coast and triggered meltdowns at a nuclear power plant.

The revised tsunami projections, contained in a report released Saturday and posted on a government website, are based on new research following last March's magnitude-9.0 earthquake and tsunami, which devastated a long stretch of Japan's northeastern coast and killed about 19,000 people.

Last year's catastrophe and the ensuing crisis at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant, prompted sweeping reviews of Japan's disaster preparedness and criticism over apparent failures to take into account potential risks.

The tsunami knocked out power at the 40-year-old coastal nuclear plant, leading to the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl in 1986. Tens of thousands of residents have had to leave the area, and it's unclear whether some will ever be able to move back.

The Fukushima plant was designed to withstand a 6-meter (20-foot) tsunami, less than half the height of the surge that hit it on March 11, 2011.

The latest forecast shows a tsunami of up to 21 meters (69 feet) could strike near the Hamaoka nuclear plant. Its operator, Chubu Electric Power Co., is building an 18-meter (59-foot) high sea wall to counter tsunamis. The wall is due to be completed next year.

The plant was shut down in 2011 due to estimates it has a 90 percent chance of being hit by a magnitude 8.0 or higher quake within 30 years.

In other unsettling news, another government report shows that a strong earthquake hitting the Tokyo Bay region could shake the Tokyo-Yokohama metropolitan area ? home to more than 33 million people ? at the maximum seismic intensity of 7 on the Japanese scale.

The report, issued Friday by the Ministry of Education, came in the form of mapping that shows that much of the Tokyo region would likely experience severe shaking from a magnitude-7.3 earthquake inside Tokyo Bay.

The study prompted calls for Tokyo residents to be better prepared for such disasters. Although they live with the constant threat of a major earthquake that experts have long said is overdue for the region, not all living in the region keep recommended water and other supplies on hand.

A report in the newspaper Asahi Shimbun listed troubles that might be expected from a major quake, such as electricity outages that could persist for more than a week and water supply disruptions that could last for nearly a month, based on government estimates.

The revised tsunami forecast for a possible Nankai earthquake says Tokyo could expect waves up to 2.3 meters (7.6 feet) high. But at the coastal town of Kuroshio, on the island of Shikoku, the tsunami could top 34 meters (112 feet), it shows.

The computer modeling for the revised forecasts assumes a high tide for the highest estimates.

Women, and an increasing number of men, are considering the cosmetic surgery route as the way to fix their problems. They may feel at a disadvantage because of how they look, or that some aspect of their physical appearance is an impediment to their success. - Will cosmetic surgery fix my marriage?
Some women feel that part of the job description in being a good wife is to look young, slim, attractive. They may be only too aware that other women, women their husband regularly comes into contact with, are only too eager to fill their shoes. Whilst it is important to take care of ones body, appearance and make an effort in a relationship, looks are simply one aspect of a successful, long-term relationship. Open and honest communications, interesting conversations, shared fun and laughter, being supportive, knowing each other well are all far more compelling reasons for a couple to choose to stay together. Work on feeling more confident, ensure that you lead a satisfying, fulfilling life and those other areas of concern often become resolved.

- Will cosmetic surgery get me a job?
There is often a sense that when we reach a certain age we become unemployable, and indeed companies often require young, dynamic staff on board. For a start they may cost less to employ and are easier to mould to the company?s requirements. However, an increasing number of companies are appreciating the valuable contribution that older, more experienced staff can bring into their business. Having a mix of old and new ideas brings a balance between stability and innovation, experience and young energy and adds a valuable combination into the team. Looking smart, capable and enthusiastic is often the most positive way of obtaining a new work position.

- Will cosmetic surgery make me popular?

Some groups appear to have their own particular look; they style their hair, dress, socialize all in the same way. To an outsider wanting to fit in and become part of the ?popular? group it can feel almost obligatory to affect the uniform image. But do you really want to look, dress and act the same as everyone else? Why not consider what interests and appeals to you and determine to find ways to introduce a more suitable, independent outlook into your life. That way you can improve your confidence through a variety of different outlets, without having to conform to a particular type.

- Will cosmetic surgery make me a happier person?
If everything in your life is fine, you?re feeling happy, settled and fairly satisfied with everything, except for that one thing (your nose, ears, the size of your breasts or the excess skin since you lost weight), then cosmetic surgery can really add value to your life. It can be the icing on the cake that you wish you?d done sooner. But if cosmetic surgery is seen as the solution to all your problems, the ?once this is done then everything will be fine?, the truth is you may be disappointed. With this in mind, many reputable cosmetic surgeons insist on counselling before surgery. They want to ensure that a patient is feeling good about themselves and has no serious underlying issues about self-esteem and confidence that they?re hoping the surgery will fix.

Don?t forget, cosmetic surgery is a major hospital procedure; doctors consider it to be major invasive surgery. Just because the word ?cosmetic? is included it can be easy to trivialize the fact that it is an important medical procedure, with all that it entails.

Groupon says 4th-quarter was weaker than reported

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) ? Groupon Inc. said Friday that its fourth-quarter loss was wider than initially reported because it needed to increase the amount of money it sets aside for refunds.

The disclosure weakened the company's first quarterly report since it went public in November, which already had disappointed investors, and added to its list of fumbles.

Groupon prominently promises to refund money to any user unhappy with a deal, an important part of its business model that has made it so popular. The need for the revision, however, indicates it might not have the controls in place to adequately keep up with its own success.

Groupon said that it was selling online deals at higher prices during the period. and that put it on the hook for larger refunds. The revision lowered the company's quarterly revenue by $14.3 million and widened its loss by $22.6 million, or 4 cents per share.

The company originally reported in February a surprise loss of $42.7 million, or 8 cents per share, for the period. It said at the time that its revenue nearly tripled to $506.5 million from the same quarter a year earlier.

Groupon's auditor Ernst & Young also flagged a weakness in the company's internal controls over its financial statement for the period in a regulatory filing Friday.

Groupon said it is working to identify and address the underlying causes and said it may have added expenses to solve the problem, including the cost of hiring more financial staff for the quickly growing company.

The company's shares plunged in after-hours trading on the news.

This is not the first time Groupon has struggled to get its financial reporting in order. The company faced federal scrutiny before its initial public offering for the way it accounted for revenue.

Groupon makes money by sending out frequent emails to subscribers offering a chance to buy discount deals for anything from manicures to ballroom dance lessons. The company takes a cut of what people pay and gives the rest to the merchant.

The company used to report all of its gross billings, not just the money it gets to keep, as revenue. After federal regulators questioned the practice, Groupon submitted new documents in September that showed that net revenue in the first half of 2011 was about half of what it originally reported.

The company's rapid growth, financial reporting difficulties, high marketing expenses and enormous employee base have caused some IPO experts to compare its ascent to the late 1990s tech boom ? and bust.

Groupon has failed to impress investors since its market debut. It started strong, pricing above expectations at $20 and raising $700 million in its offering. Its shares soared 31 percent in its first day of trading, closing at $26.11. It has fallen 30 percent since then, closing regular trading Friday at $18.38.

The company has struggled with intense competition from other daily deal sites and complaints by merchants after they've been overwhelmed by customers using, and sometimes abusing, the company's offers.

Groupon also issued a more modest growth forecast for its first quarter as the number of subscribers signing up for its service and the number of merchants joining appears to be slowing.

The company stood by its 2012 first-quarter expectations for revenue of $510 million to $550 million. But that is still single-digit growth year-over-year when it delivered double-digit growth in every quarter of 2011.

"We remain confident in the fundamentals of our business, as our performance continues to highlight the value that we provide to customers and merchants," Groupon's Chief Financial Officer Jason Child said in a statement.

The company also said Friday that it would extend its "lockup" period one month beyond what it had set out at its IPO. These agreements restrict the sale or transfer shares held by certain stockholders, often executives in the company. The agreements also prevent key stockholders from unloading shares or flooding the market, which could hurt its price.

Groupon said that its lockup agreements were originally scheduled to expire on May 2 but the company will be reporting its earnings on May 12 and the agreement forbids the two being so close to each other. As a result, the lockup period will be automatically extended through June 1.

Shares of Groupon, based in Chicago, plunged $1.24, nearly 7 percent, in after-hours trading.
